How to use RubyGFE (UT200x plugin/Gtk2 interface)

1. A fresh install

On a fresh install at first the config dialog will popup.
Enter the paths according to your game installation and press "OK"
In case one of the paths is invalid you'll see an error dialog
telling you what path seems to be invalid.


Now to the most important part of RubyGFE for you.
The Menu- and Buttonbar:

Using the buttons/menuitems you control RubyGFE.
The button functions should be self-exlanatory.
If a button has no use for a tab it is usually insensitive.

2. The downloads tab

After that you will see the tab listing your downloaded files.
Enter the path to your downloads in the entry.
You can use the button on the right. It will popup a
File chooser dialog.


Now you can install game files by selecting them and
clicking "Apply".
In case you want to abort the installation you can click "Cancel"
Installed files will be shown on the right.
You can here for example click on installed map files
and RubyGFE will launch ut on that map so you can check it out
right away!


3. The cache tab

Via the cache tab you can install cached files permanently.
Simply select the files you want to install and hit "Apply"


4. The installed files tab

The installed files tab displays all games files in your
game directory.
Here you can double click map files to instantly play them or
music files that will get played by the music player that you
defined in the config dialog.

Additionally you can search for installed files using the search bar:


5. The logged files tab

Here installations are logged. You can delete log entries if the
log has gotten too big (perfomance will suffer from a very big log)
Also you can uninstall installed files here.
To do those things select the entries you want deleted/uninstalled
right-click and select either "Remove from log" or "Uninstall file"


6. Switch plugin

RubyGFE supports plugins so you can use it for multiple games.
For other game plugins check the
Homepage
To switch a plugin go to Edit/Switch plugin:


That will popup the Switch plugin dialog.
Now selet the plugin you wish to use and you're done.


7. The End

That's all there is to it. Note that using different plugins the
Gtk2 interface might look different and have limited functionality
